My research interests are focused on understanding the influence of adipokines on processes occurring in human placental cells. My research is conducted using JEG-3 and BeWo cell lines, as well as terminal villi from normal or complicated by intrauterine growth restriction, preeclampsia, or gestational diabetes pregnancies. The subject of my doctoral thesis is to determine the effect of visfatin on human placental cells. I am a member of the Society of Reproductive Biology, the Polish Copernicus Society of Naturalists, and the European Society of Endocrinology.
