I would like to book a double but do not have a roommate in mind. Can I book a single and then change to a double if I find a roommate?

To ensure a smooth booking process, we recommend reserving the room type you are comfortable committing to, whether it's a single or a double, based on your current information. If you are interested in finding a roommate, you can indicate that you would like to participate in the SSR Buddy Program during the booking process. Our SSR volunteers will make every effort to match you with a suitable roommate, but please note that a roommate is not guaranteed. While we strive to accommodate preferences, SSR is not liable if a suitable roommate cannot be found. Therefore, we encourage guests to book the room type they are willing to commit to, with or without a guaranteed roommate. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

If you have specific accommodation needs due to disabilities or other essential considerations, please reach out to us at meetings@ssr.org. For all other reservations, please be mindful of your true plans before booking a room, as we would like to limit the necessary changes to the rooming list provided to the reservations agent at Trinity College Dublin. Upon completing your booking through our system, the confirmation email you receive from the booking portal (YourMembership) will serve as your reservation confirmation. Approximately 6 weeks before the conference start date, the SSR business office will submit the reservations list to Trinity College Dublin (TCD). Around 4 weeks prior to your noted check-in date, final confirmation emails containing reservation confirmation numbers from TCD will be sent to you via email.
