Dr. Maria Gracia Gervasi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Connecticut. She earned her PhD in 2013 from the University of Buenos Aires, studying sperm capacitation and sperm-oviduct interaction in a bovine model. As a two-time Lalor Foundation fellow, she completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Massachusetts, focusing on mouse sperm capacitation. Then, Dr. Gervasi became a Research Assistant Professor at UMass-Amherst, studying sperm's role in early embryo development. Currently, she works on sperm treatments and enhancing assisted reproductive technologies in mice and cattle.
