Lena Arévalo (PhD), a Principal Investigator at the Spanish National Research Council (INIA-CSIC) in Madrid, specializes in the molecular processes of mammalian reproduction, integrating evolutionary biology with biomedicine. Her current research focuses on the molecular interactions between sperm cells and the female reproductive tract, with the goal of developing in vitro sperm selection systems. She received her doctoral degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid, followed by a postdoc at Oklahoma State University and a five-year tenure as a Principal Investigator at the University Hospital of Bonn in Germany.
