PhD Student
Cornell University
Brooktondale, New York, United States
My name is Hannah Sylvester and I am currently a PhD student at Cornell University and Smithsonian research fellow with a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and a B.S. in Biological Sciences. After graduating, I worked at the Smithsonian National Zoo as both a research technician for the National Elephant Herpesvirus Laboratory and an intern in the reproductive biology laboratory. Following my acceptance into Cornell's Animal Sciences graduate program, I began my research in establishing iPSCs for endangered species, exploring the potential of this sample type as a means for conserving biodiversity, and interrogating molecular mechanisms behind cellular reprogramming.
