My name is Aurélie Lacouture. I am currently in my final year of Ph.D. in the laboratory of Dr Étienne Audet-Walsh in the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec - Université Laval in Québec City (Canada). I did my bachelor and master’s degree in France where I discovered my passion for research. During my Ph.D., I work at understanding the mechanisms regulating the mammary gland metabolism, notably using organoids. I discovered that the estrogens regulate the mammary gland metabolism, which is a new function for the estrogen receptor α (ERα) in this organ.
