Mona H. Al-Mugotir, PhD

Mona Al-Mugotir is a research instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). She works on targeted nanoparticle (NP) drug delivery with a trajectory of increasing safe therapeutics currently lacking for pregnant women.
Mona's professional background is cultivated in academia and industry. Her doctoral and postdoctoral work focused on nducing synthetic lethality in cancer cells. She also worked on the structural characterization of tight junction proteins responsible for forming biological barriers to drug delivery and testing the formation of nitrosamine species in drug products at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Mona serves on local and national scientific committees.
