Amber Carleton is a dedicated PhD candidate at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), specializing in cellular and developmental biology. Under the guidance of Dr. Ken Taniguchi, Amber’s doctoral research explores the molecular mechanisms that govern amniogenesis and epiblast lumen formation during early mammalian embryogenesis. Amber received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Amber has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her findings at several regional and national conferences. Outside of her academic pursuits, Amber enjoys cycling, painting, and volunteering in local STEM outreach events.
