I am Virginia Savy, an enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow at NIEHS.
I did my PhD training at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on applied embryology and transgenesis. In 2019, I joined Dr. Williams’ lab at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) as a postdoctoral visiting fellow. I’m focused on investigating how abnormal calcium signaling during fertilization affects embryo development and offspring health. I am committed to diversity-oriented outreach and service, to dismantle barriers, inspire dreams, and foster inclusive work-environments. Since 2022 I’ve been actively involved in Women in Reproductive Sciences (WinRS), now serving as the Trainee Chair.
