Rick McCosh is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. He completed his BS and MS at Montana State University. He completed his PhD at West Virginia University where he worked on the control of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) secretion in sheep. During his postdoctoral training at University of California, San Diego, he studied stress-induced suppression of LH in mice. The focus of his new lab at CSU is on the neural mechanisms for LH pulse and surge generating systems and mechanisms for their suppression during stress using cell culture, mouse, and sheep models.
