Kutluk Oktay, MD, Ph.D., Professor of Ob/Gyn, & Reproductive Sciences at Yale University School of Medicine, is an ovarian biologist and leading clinician-scientist in fertility preservation. He has published > 250 manuscripts and book chapters and is the editor of the first textbook on ovarian cryopreservation and transplantation. Among his key contributions are the development and performance of the first successful orthotopic and heterotopic ovarian transplants, the development of tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitor- and random-start protocols for cancer patients, the discovery of the impact of BRCA mutations and DNA damage and repair in ovarian aging and chemotherapy-induced primordial follicle loss.
