PhD at the University of Oviedo in 1993 and postdoctoral stay at the University of California, Davis. Since 1997 leader of the group "Gametogenesis and Early Embryonic Development" at INIA-CSIC. Lab focuses: 1- Understand the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that controls the early embryo development and their impact on foetal development and adult health. 2- Analysis of in vivo/ in vitro sperm selection and techniques for assisted reproduction. 3- Determine the role of mRNA splicing and ncRNAs on regulation of embryo development, sex determination, gametogenesis, and fertility.
