Carly Guiltinan is a Ph.D. Candidate studying Animal Biology with a designated emphasis in Reproductive Biology at the University of California, Davis. Under the mentorship of Dr. Anna Denicol, Carly’s doctoral research focuses on bovine embryonic stem cell pluripotency and germline formation throughout embryonic and fetal development. Upon completing her Ph.D., Carly will be pursuing postdoctoral research in Dr. Ali Shariati’s lab at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she will study the determinants of cell fate decisions during embryogenesis using stem cell-based embryo models.
