Colossal Biosciences, Texas, United States
Jane C Fenelon, Ph.D., is the Marsupial Assisted Reproduction Lead at Colossal Biosciences, U.S.A. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2011 and previously completed postdoctoral positions at the Universities of Montreal and Ottawa, Canada, and most recently was a Research Fellow of monotreme and marsupial reproductive biology at the University of Melbourne. Colossal Biosciences is attempting to bring back the thylacine (a marsupial) from extinction. Her research at Collosal aims to understand how eutherian superovulation, IVF and cryopreservation protocols can be adapted for marsupials using the fat-tailed dunnart, a carnivorous marsupial mouse as a model.
