Dr. Elisa Zhang, PhD is an assistant professor at UC Davis in the departments of Physiology and Membrane Biology (PMB) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN). She received her PhD from UC Berkeley and was previously a postdoctoral research scientist at the Stanford School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang focuses on uterine and placental function, with a focus on uterine self-renewal and regeneration under cycling conditions and following injury. She is also interested in the formation and maintenance of the maternal-fetal interface as well as systemic changes during pregnancy.
