Riley Thompson, DVM, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow at Colorado State University at the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory. Dr. Thompson earned her BS in animal science from Tennessee Tech University. She then completed her DVM at the University of Tennessee before completion of her PhD in comparative and experimental medicine in a collaborative position between the University of Tennessee and the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute. Her PhD research focused on cryopreservation and organoid culture of domestic and endangered equid endometrium. As a postdoc, Dr. Thompson works with reproductive organoids and extracellular vesicles in various domestic species.
