Jessica Cristina dos Santos Marques, DVM, MSc
Jessica is a PhD student in Applied Animal Biology at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests involve the use of progesterone and intensity of estrous expression to improve the fertility of dairy cattle. Her PhD project aims to evaluate the impact of progesterone concentrations and intensity of estrous expression on bovine endometrial and embryonic gene expression. At the 2024 conference, Jessica will present her research investigating the influence of different progesterone concentrations before estrus and different intensities of estrous expression on endometrial gene expression in lactating Holstein cows.
