Heloisa Rutigliano is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Utah State University. She earned her MS and PhD degrees in Animal Biology from the University of California at Davis and her DVM degree from Sao Paulo State University in Brazil.
Her laboratory investigates the role of trophoblast-derived extracellular vesicles in the modulation of the maternal immune system in cattle and other ruminants. Heloisa maintains an extramurally funded research laboratory where she has trained over 25 students. She has received regional, university and national awards in teaching and mentoring.
