Rowan Karvas is currently a postdoctoral research associate at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research is focused on utilizing pluripotent stem cells to generate 3D models of early human development. These models include stem-cell-derived trophoblast organoids and an integrated human embryo model capturing continuous placental and embryonic development between pre- to post-implantation and early gastrulation stages. Rowan has gladly accepted a faculty position at the University of Coloroado-Anschutz medical campus in the Division of Reproductive Sciences where she plans to apply these models to study early post-implantation placental development.
