Undergraduate Research Assistant
New Mexico State University, Department of Animal and Range Sciences
My name is Lauren Butler and I am a Research Assistant at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. I recently finished a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree from NMSU and plan to attend Texas Tech's School of Veterinary Medicine to work towards earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. I have been working as an undergraduate in a lab focused on ovine reproductive physiology managed by Dr. Ryan Ashley, Ph.D. since 2022. During my time in the lab, I have contributed to research concerning the CXCL12-CXCR4 chemokine-receptor axis in relation to pregnancy health and fetal development.
