Dr Peter Ruane PhD is a Lecturer in Reproductive Biology at the Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre, University of Manchester, UK. Peter’s research interrogates human embryo implantation and placentation using cutting edge in vitro models. Organoid, stem cell and embryo cultures are employed to explore how embryo and maternal tissues interact in early pregnancy and how dysfunction contributes to infertility, pregnancy complications and developmental programming of health and disease.
